## Discover communities to join at your company

##### Communities discover page

Epoch's web app ( **companyname**.epochapp.com) is where you will find all events and initiatives at your company. At the top of the page, click on **Communities**. This will lead you to the Communities discover page.

##### Joining a community

To join a community, click one of the community cards on the Communities discover page. In the community detail page, you will be able to see information about the community, such as a description, upcoming events, and members of the community. To become a member of the community, click on the **+Join community** button on this page.

##### Joining a community Slack channel

If you join a public Slack channel that is invited to a community on Epoch, you will automatically receive an invitation notification from the Epoch Slackbot. To become a member of the community, click on the **Join community** button in the Slack notification.

##### Joining a community distrolist (email group)

If you are added to a distrolist that is invited to a community on Epoch, you will automatically receive an invitation notification from the Epoch Slackbot. To become a member of the community, click on the **Join community** button in the Slack notification. See an example of this notification above.

##### Leaving a community

If you are looking to leave a community, you are able to do so from the community page. Click on the Manage membership dropdown and then click on the **Leave community** button on this page. This will then remove you from the list of members for this community.
